Title:  Associate Manager, Toll

Position Summary:

The CMO Lead is responsible for managing all activities related to outsourced manufacturing operations. This role ensures seamless coordination between internal teams, external manufacturing partners, and service providers to secure supply continuity, cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high-quality product delivery. The position includes oversight of contract negotiations, production follow-up, material availability, financial settlement, and inventory accuracy.

 

1. Strategic Responsibilities:

 1.1 Contract & Supplier Management

- Lead contract negotiations with outsourced manufacturers covering pricing, lead times, service levels, and commercial terms.

- Evaluate and select suitable CMO partners in alignment with company strategy, quality standards, and capacity needs.

- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with CMOs to ensure reliability, performance improvement, and cost optimization.

 1.2 Site Addition & Compliance Coordination

- Oversee the complete process of adding new manufacturing sites, coordinating with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Legal , Supply Chain, and Finance.

- Ensure all approvals, documentation, and regulatory requirements are completed for new CMOs.

 1.3 Supply Security & Capacity Planning

- Develop strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply of RM/PM and finished goods through proactive planning with internal and external stakeholders.

- Assess risks and implement mitigation plans to prevent shortages, delays, or capacity gaps.

 1.4 Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

- Define KPIs for CMO performance and monitor monthly service performance, inventory accuracy, and cost adherence.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce total manufacturing cost.

 

2. Operational Responsibilities:

 2.1 Manufacturing Coordination

- Follow up the manufacturing process with CMOs to ensure production is executed according to plan, timelines, and specifications.

- Communicate daily with CMO contacts to monitor progress, resolve issues, and secure timely delivery of finished products.

 2.2 Raw & Packaging Materials (RPM) Management

- Monitor safety stock levels of RM/PM at CMOs and coordinate replenishment with the Planning and Procurement teams.

- Arrange inbound deliveries of RM/PM to outsourced manufacturers and ensure material readiness before production.

 2.3 Finished Goods Delivery

- Coordinate shipment planning with CMOs to ensure on-time dispatch and delivery of finished products.

- Ensure packaging, labeling, and documentation comply with internal and regulatory standards.

 2.4 Financial & Invoice Management

- Coordinate with Finance to manage all financial activities related to CMOs, including PO issuance, invoice receipt, and payment settlement.

- Verify invoice accuracy against contracts, quantities produced and agreed pricing.

 2.5 Inventory Control & Reconciliation

- Conduct monthly inventory reconciliation with CMOs to ensure RM/PM and FG balances match ERP (SAP or equivalent) records.

- Investigate any variances, coordinate corrective actions, and ensure proper reporting and documentation.

 2.6 Cross-Functional Coordination

- Work closely with Quality, Regulatory, Planning, Procurement, and Finance to resolve operational issues and maintain compliance.

- Share regular reports and updates with internal teams on manufacturing status, risks, and performance.

 

Qualifications & Requirements :

- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy , Engineering ,Supply Chain, Business, or related field.

- More than 5 years of experience in CMO , Procurement, or Supply chain  (preferably in pharmaceuticals or FMCG).

- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple external partners.

- Ability to work under pressure and handle cross-functional coordination.
