JOB PURPOSE

The Security Analyst is responsible for supporting the monitoring, detection, and response activities that help safeguard the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role involves assisting in the analysis of security events, participating in threat assessments, and implementing basic risk mitigation measures under the guidance of senior team members. The analyst collaborates with various teams to help enforce security policies and to support compliance with industry standards and regulations. Additional responsibilities include contributing to regular security assessments, providing operational support for security tools, and staying informed about current cybersecurity trends and threats to proactively assist in protecting the organization. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Support the daily operations of the information security program by monitoring and triaging security alerts, events, and user requests.

• Work collaboratively with IT Infrastructure teams to address security-related tickets, requests, and preliminary investigations.

• Monitor security tools and stay up-to-date on emerging threats, sharing relevant findings with senior team members.

• Participate in proactive threat identification activities to help detect and mitigate potential security risks.

• Assist in collecting and analyzing data during cyber incident investigations under supervision.

• Contribute to risk assessments as part of the organization’s cybersecurity risk management efforts.

• Perform other assigned tasks and projects to support and strengthen the cybersecurity program.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an IT-related field, with 1–2 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or a closely related discipline.
• CompTIA Security+ certification or an equivalent credential.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum:

• Up to one year of professional experience in cybersecurity.
