Title:  Analyst, QC

JOB PURPOSE:

To fulfil varying quality control tasks and assignments, including product analysis and implementing procedures to detect any defects or issues in products before they are released into the market.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description Policies, Processes & Procedures

• Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner

Day- to-day operations

• Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work

Job Specific Accountabilities

• Performs a variety of routine and basic tests in support of routine testing for raw material, stability samples, finished products, in-process control samples and cleaning validation samples to ensure that materials comply with the standards.
• Performs calibration and preventive maintenance for instrument located in QC.
• Implements procedures and systems to develop an appropriate level of expertise in order to ensure the successful execution of project work within the current pharmaceutical industry technical standards in addition to maintaining compliance with cGMP’s.
• Assists in troubleshooting basic technical issues to support in efficiently solving these problems.
• Supports activities related to analytical method transfers for the assigned projects to ensure efficient transfer of projects between sites.
• Assists in standardizing processes throughout the laboratory to ensure compliance to cGMP’s and current SOP’s.

Continuous Improvement

• Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement

Reporting

• Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports of Quality to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards

Safety, Quality & Environment

• Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

• Performs other related duties or assignments as directed    

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or any related field.

Minimum Experience:

• 0-3 years of experience in a quality role or related field.
