2. JOB PURPOSE

Establish and manage the financial planning and analytics (FP&A) team within finance shared services based in Jordan to service all Hikma entities across MENA, EU and North America (12 Countries). The FP&A director FSSC is a key leadership position within the Hikma finance shared services. As a key business partner this role will serve as lead for core planning, reporting and analysis functions supporting the Hikma markets globally.

 

This role will help guide the growth and stabilization of the organization, working with COE and market finance business partner leadership to manage resourcing needs, deliver stakeholder requirements, drive process improvements, and support planning process and system enhancement initiatives.

 

The individual will be also responsible for managing stakeholders such market CFOs, regional and corporate FP&A teams as well as work closely with financial reporting teams in SSC and corporate.

 

 

3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Overseeing the FSSC FP&A functional teams supporting the markets, delivering key planning, reporting and analysis capabilities in support of three business segments (Generics, Injectables and branded)
  • Work with COE leadership to execute transition plans in establishing and managing the FSSC FP&A function tower
  • Establish and maintain a structured and efficient planning process.
  • Ensure that planning, reporting, and analysis activities are conducted in a controlled manner, adhering to established timelines and standards.
  • Collaborate with FBPs, Business Centers of Excellence (CoEs), and stakeholders to gather inputs for the strategic plan.
  • Facilitate the development of a comprehensive framework guiding the planning process and in strategy formulation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of planning responsibilities. Including, but not limited to:
    o Forecast preparation
    o Forecast submission
    o Budget preparation
  • Ensure timely delivery of reporting responsibilities. Including, but not limited to preparation of actuals versus forecast variance reporting
  • Ensure timely delivery of analysis for functional area of responsibility. Including, but not limited to initial review and analysis of variance reporting
  • Offer proactive and reactive analytical support to FBPs and the Business as needed.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to address specific business challenges or opportunities.
  • Deliver on the production of regular management reporting in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Customize reports to provide relevant and actionable insights for decision-makers.
  • Serving as a key business partner to the market CFO’s/FP&A heads of each business and market supported, and work closely with the onsite, regional and corporate finance teams
  • Working with COE and BU Finance leadership to develop and execute effective transition plans, leveraging both regional experiences, and functional finance process knowledge, to influence the strategy.
  • Overseeing the ongoing development of the team of FP&A professionals, including professional and people skills, knowledge of the business, and team engagement
  • Partnering with FSSC leadership, the finance data & advanced analytics transformation team, and others to ensure the smooth execution of key initiatives including Global Process Alignment; Continuous Improvement; Implementation of Planning and Reporting best practices and tools; Effective Change Management; Coordination with other strategic business initiatives

5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive relevant work experience with significant demonstrated experience in a leadership/management position in a shared services environment. Pharma industry experience highly desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. accounting, finance); Master’s degree in a related field (e.g. MBA) a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of, and experience with, financial planning, analysis and reporting concepts, and EPM tools (SAP BPC/Power BI) and processes. Process oriented with a solid understanding of accounting principles, and internal control concepts. Experience in project management and process improvement
  • An experienced people leader with proven results in building and developing large and dispersed global teams
  • Effective communicator at all levels of the organization with the ability to influence others and negotiate outcomes. Strong written, oral and presentation skills required (English)
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization. Strong problem resolution skills, and a high degree of integrity, tact and diplomacy

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years’ managerial experience and overall 10~12 years’ experience in FP&A/commercial finance.
  • Experience working in a life science company is preferred
  • Experience of working in shared services is preferred
