Title: Brand Manager
Position Overview
The Brand Manager will lead our marketing and branding efforts in the hematology/oncology therapeutic area in the MENA region from the selection to launch, as a Brand Manager will be responsible for developing our oncology/hematology pipeline and executing comprehensive brand strategies for the pre-launch, launch, and ongoing brand management activities.
Responsibilities include all functional activities related to the launch and marketing of the assigned brands, fulfillment of brand objectives, and maximization of each commercial opportunity.
The position well be responsible for for the strategic building of pipeline through brand selection, trending analysis, clinical and commercial attractiveness and portfolio management and finding the strategic fit as well as contributing to or developing and implementing the all brand and market management strategies, tactics, forecasting, budgeting, branding, positioning, pricing, marketing mix decision-making, creative development/agency management, marketing communications, and lifecycle management.
The brand manager will be part of building the business plans for the coming 10 years and reflecting on the needed strategic decisions and capacity building.
The brand Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, regulatory affairs, project management, sales, market access and medical affairs, to ensure alignment and drive the product's success in the market.
Position Responsibilities
- Pipeline development: Develop and enrich the pipeline in the oncology/hematology therapuetic areas and find the best strategic fit within the protfolio and provide growth prospects of the business, as well as liaising with the business development team to introduce new molecules and technologies to MENA
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and branding strategies for the pre-launch, launch, and post-launch.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities, trends, and threats. Utilize KOL insights to shape marketing strategies and product positioning.
- Brand Development: Create and maintain a strong brand identity for strategic brands,
- Campaign Management: Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, print, and events, to drive product awareness and adoption.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, to build strong relationships and drive product advocacy.
- Content Creation: Oversee the development of high-quality marketing materials, including brochures, presentations.
- Budget Management: Manage promotion and Expenses budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
- Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilize analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of brand campaigns, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve goals.
- Market Insights: Contribute with the MENA team to the completion of all markets Insights needed to make fact-based decisions and measure success, including an annual Brand Plan for the product.
- Market Segmentation: Create market segment plans for health care providers covering specialist physicians, pharmacists, purchasers, etc.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Clinical Development to develop inhouse brands, needed studies, and publication plans to broaden claims, usage, and extend product life cycles.
- Work closely with demand planning teams to ensure the appropriate level of supply of the product is timely.
- Participate with project management teams and coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure all objectives are met.
Education, Experience & Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree of pharmacy is required.
- MBA or a relevant business Degree is preferrable.
- 7+ years sales/brand management experience in pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated progression in responsibilities
- 2+ years as brand management experience in hematology/oncology brand is preferrable.
- Ability to contribute and work well in a team environment, as well as work independently
- Regional experience and understanding of MENA countries landscape and requirements is preferrable
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative brand solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented with attention to follow up
- Technical proficiency in MS Office Suite, marketing platforms and programs.
