We are looking for a talented Engineer, HSE to join us. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development & implementation of HSE procedures and systems in line with ISO 45001,ISO 14001 and legal requirements.
- Supervise and review day-to-day site activities, ensuring safe work practices, effective risk controls, and compliance with approved HSE procedures.
- Conduct HSE audits, inspections, risk assessments, daily tours, weekly inspections, and audits, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are tracked and closed.
- Liaise with external authorities (Ministry of Labor, Civil Defense, regulators).
- Promote HSE awareness and participation through training, & toolbox talks,
- Support emergency preparedness and response, conduct emergency drills, and participate in incident/accident investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation.
- Perform industrial hygiene assessments (air sampling, noise monitoring, chemical exposure evaluations) and support implementation of the hierarchy of controls (engineering, administrative, PPE).
- Follow up on permit-to-work systems, contractor management, and site activities.
- Monitor life safety systems inspections and preventive maintenance (fire alarm and fire protection systems).
- Coordinate and follow up on third-party safety inspections (elevators, electrical systems, forklifts, pressure equipment).
- Manage PPE programs, including selection, procurement coordination, distribution, and effectiveness monitoring.
- Adhere to all safety, quality, health, and environmental procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Be available for extended hours and occasional weekend work as required.
- Perform data entry and maintenance in SAP or equivalent systems.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates whose experience and skills align closely with the qualifications outlined below:
Experience:
- 0–3 years of relevant experience.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Chemical Engineering).
- Ministry of Labor – OHS Accreditation.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical effort, be available for extended hours and occasional weekend work as required.
Language:
- Very good English (written and spoken).
Required Skills:
- AutoCAD
- Reporting & documentation
- Communication, coordination, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with SAP (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
