2. JOB PURPOSE

A career in Finance at Hikma offers you the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of our Finance function, including financial accounting and reporting, data analysis, and supporting leadership in the overall strategy. This role involves assisting in the preparation and accuracy of financial reports, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (IFRS & UK GAAP). You will focus on recording and analyzing financial transactions, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analyses and reconciliations. This position provides exposure to the company’s full financial results and offers the opportunity to participate in various projects and initiatives.

 

 

4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for (1) monthly-closing tasks, (2) general ledger journal entries and (3) account reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing the monthly financial reporting package and supplemental schedules for submission to Corporate reporting team, including SAP BPC consolidation and review of the reporting package to Hikma Corporate team.
  • Collaborate with business partners to analyze monthly income statement fluctuations and report on variances.
  • Responsible for maintaining and enhancing Hikma’s documentation of internal processes and controls.
  • Provide analysis and respond to queries from business units on the financial results.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with minimum set of standard financial controls.
  • Assist in preparing statutory financial statements in coordination with 3rd Party.
  • Assist in coordinating requests and collaborating with external and internal auditors.
  • Coordinate with internal tax team to prepare statutory tax returns.
  • Maintain a questioning mindset to analytically review and challenge the accuracy of support for journal entries and account balances.
  • Reviews accounting policies and procedures and, as needed, recommends process improvements (including automation and operational efficiencies).
  • Assist in completing ad hoc requests and special projects as they arise.

 

 

6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance or similar field.
  • Must have strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.

Preferred: CPA, CA, ACCA

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5~7 years’ experience in accounting or other relevant practice experience.
  • Experience working in a life science company is preferred.

SKILLS

  • Analytical skills and an understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Fluent/Excellent in English (written and spoken).
  • Qualified candidates should have experience working with an ERP system, preferably SAP/SAP BPC.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills and an effective cross functional communicator.
  • Ability to contribute ideas to address business issues.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel, and PowerPoint, especially the integration with other MS products.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take the initiative, guide, and influence others toward goal achievement.
  • Collaborative working style, ability to foster effective working relationships within a team environment.
  • Ability to organize and work with large amounts of complex information.
  • Working knowledge of internal control concepts.
  • Process oriented, data driven, and exceptionally well organized and detailed.
