2. JOB PURPOSE

Establish and manage the treasury operations within finance shared services based in Jordan.The Treasury Associate Director-FSSC is a key leadership position within the finance shared services.

 

This position will lead our global treasury operations and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of treasury operations, including working capital management (i.e. cash, credit, inventory, letters of credit/guarantees etc), foreign exchange, debt covenants monitoring, insurance risk management activities and local banking relationships.  

 

This role will help guide the growth and stabilization of the organization, working with onsite finance teams to manage resourcing needs, deliver stakeholder requirements, drive process improvements, and support treasury process and system enhancement initiatives.

 

The individual will be also responsible for managing stakeholders such market CFOs, regional and corporate finance and treasury teams.

 

 

4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead the evaluation and recommendation of cash management initiatives, overseeing day-to-day treasury operations to drive optimal cash utilization and ensure operational liquidity across the organization.
  • Lead treasury operations, including cash management, debt management, intercompany arrangements, and treasury report preparation, and ensuring compliance with internal audit controls.
  • Foster collaboration with corporate treasury and onsite finance teams to deepen understanding of cash flows and enhance treasury practices that strategically support business functions.
  • Enhance reporting mechanisms for short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Champion the effective utilization of the treasury management system while maintaining rigorous accounting standards and overseeing system administration, including user access for multiple bank systems and related platforms.
  • Build, Lead and support the Treasury Operations team, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Coach and develop the team during a period of transformation
  • Establish and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) for cash management activities, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards and providing audit support as needed.
  • Manage relationships with third-party suppliers (banks/insurers etc)
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Treasury activities, supporting projects, initiatives, and resolving complex queries
  • Ensure adherence to treasury policies, debt covenants, and regulatory filing requirements.
  • Oversee financial transactions, such as TMS, ACH and manual payments, payroll and bonuses, leases and rent payments.
  • Deliver on the production of regular management reporting in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Accountable for the implementation & sustenance of Continuous Improvement mindset and practices within the team.

 

 

 

6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive relevant work experience with significant demonstrated experience in a leadership/management position in a shared services environment. Pharma industry experience highly desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. finance/treasury); Master’s degree in a related field (e.g. MBA) a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of, and experience with FIS treasury management would be a plus. Process oriented with a solid understanding of accounting principles, and internal control concepts. Experience in project management and process improvement
  • An experienced people leader with proven results in building and developing large and dispersed global teams
  • Effective communicator at all levels of the organization with the ability to influence others and negotiate outcomes. Strong written, oral and presentation skills required (English)
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization. Strong problem resolution skills, and a high degree of integrity, tact and diplomacy

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years’ managerial experience and overall 10~15 years’ experience in treasury operations.
  • Experience working in a life science company is preferred
  • Experience of working in shared services is preferred

SKILLS

  • Finance analytical skills and decision-making capabilities
  • Effective communicator at all levels of the organization with the ability to influence others and negotiate outcomes. Strong written, oral and presentation skills required (English & Arabic)
