We are seeking a talented and motivated Accounts Receivable Claims Analyst to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for the analysis and resolution of customer claims while supporting initiatives that improve accuracy, efficiency, and revenue protection within the Accounts Receivable Claims function. This role is best suited for a professional with prior experience in pharmaceutical accounts receivable or claims who is comfortable independently managing claims while contributing to process improvements and cross functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and validate customer claims in accordance with contractual agreements, company policies, pricing accuracy, and supporting documentation.
- Research and resolve customer disputes related to pricing discrepancies, quantity discrepancies, contractual parameters, chargebacks, and other claim types.
- Independently manage a portfolio of assigned claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution with the objective of claim recovery, avoidance of deductions, or correction of internal data, as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails throughout the claim lifecycle.
- Prioritize workload effectively to meet departmental timelines and performance expectations.
- Identify recurring claim issues and contribute to initiatives aimed at preventing revenue leakage.
- Utilize and support optimization of internal systems and tools such as SAP, HighRadius, Business Objects, or other third-party solutions used in claims and AR processes.
- Participate in special projects including system enhancements, acquisitions, reporting dashboards, and other initiatives related to claims and accounts receivable.
- Drive continuous process improvements to enhance productivity, accuracy, and customer service.
- Communicate professionally with customers via email and phone to support claim resolution while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Collaborate with peers within the Claims team and cross-functional partners (e.g., Sales, Customer Service, Pricing, Finance, Logistics) to ensure efficient resolution and strong internal alignment.
- Comply with company and department policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in accounts receivable, claims, deductions, or a related finance function.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess data and identify root causes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Experience with SAP and/or HighRadius is a plus.
Compensation:
Base Salary: $56,950.00 - $95,000.00 annually. The compensation for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, work location, prior experience and job-related knowledge, relevant skills and expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
