We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds.  We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Director, Commercial Systems & Analytics individual to join our team. In this role you will serve as the strategic owner of commercial systems, data architecture, and analytics infrastructure supporting the injectables business. This role is responsible for rebuilding and optimizing the analytics hub, ensuring alignment across downstream reporting platforms to establish a single source of truth.  The Associate Director will lead the design of scalable data models, reporting frameworks, and system integrations that enable accurate analytics, improved visibility, and data-driven decision-making. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between Commercial and cross-functional departments such as Contracts, Customer Service, IT, and Finance, ensuring seamless data integration and operational alignment.

 

This candidate must possess deep knowledge of commercial systems, data platforms, processes and virtual cross-functional environments, making it location independent in execution. This position will require working with cross functional teams across various regions inside and outside the U.S. and travel as needed.

 

The ideal candidate will be a systems thinker and analytics translator someone who can turn complex data into actionable insights and drive execution across the sales organization. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, business intuition, and stakeholder management to optimize commercial performance and enable data-driven decision-making. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Systems & Data Architecture Ownership
    • Own the design and structure of commercial data across reporting environments.
    • Ensure alignment between systems, data models, and business processes.
    • Define how data flows across platforms to support analytics and operations.
  • Analytics Hub Transformation
    • Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the injectables analytics
    • Design scalable, user-friendly dashboards and reporting frameworks for the sales team and leadership
    • Transition reporting from fragmented/manual processes to centralized, automated solutions
  • Data Integration & Single Source of Truth
    • Establish and maintain a single source of truth across commercial systems & reporting platforms
    • Ensure alignment of account hierarchies, contract structures & alignment files
  • Reporting Infrastructure & Standards
    • Define and standardize KPIs, metrics, and reporting logic that empower the sales team
    • Build scalable reporting frameworks that support the sales and leadership teams
  • UAT, Systems Enhancements & Integration
    • Lead UAT for system updates, enhancements, and integrations
    • Partner with IT to improve system performance, data flow and functionality
    • Ensure systems support downstream analytics and reporting needs
  • Cross-Functional Data Leadership
    • Act as the primary liaison between commercial and data-centric departments, facilitating collaboration and ensuring data integrity across systems.
    • Align stakeholders on data definitions, reporting outputs, and system usage.
  • Process Improvement & Automation
    • Identify and eliminate manual processes in reporting and data workflows
    • Improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of analytics and system outputs
    • Drive automation of reporting and data integration processes
  • Governance & Data Quality
    • Establish data governance frameworks and standards
    • Partner with analytics/support roles to maintain ongoing data quality
    • Implement monitoring to ensure consistency across systems
    • Champion best practices in data governance, system usage & cross-functional communication 

 

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field
  • 7–10 years of experience in operations, analytics, or systems management
  • Travel as required 25%
  • Proven experience leading commercial systems and analytics transformations, including redesign or optimization of data platforms, and reporting environments
  • Demonstrated success building or enhancing centralized analytics environments
  • Experience managing end-to-end data flow across commercial systems
  • Strong experience partnering with IT to deliver system integrations, enhancements and scalable data solutions
  • Experience leading user acceptance testing (UAT), system releases and change management initiatives across cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to resolve data inconsistencies and alignment challenges across customer master data, reporting and commercial systems
  • Experience operating in complex, matrixed organizations with multiple data sources and stakeholders
  • Experience supporting commercial operations within the pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Commercial systems architecture (data platforms, integrations)
  • Data modelling, analytics tools
  • Commercial data ecosystem knowledge (CMD, trade, syndicated data)
  • Cross-functional leadership & stakeholder alignment
  • Project delivery (UAT, releases, transformation initiatives)
  • Strong communication & problem solving

 

Compensation:

Base Salary: $121,350.00 - $220,850.00 annually.  The compensation for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, work location, prior experience and job-related knowledge, relevant skills and expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The Talent Acquisition team can provide more details about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
