We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds.  We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Director, IDNs to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for selling all products to an assigned IDN account list. The Associate Director, IDNs – is responsible for selling all products to an assigned IDN account list. The Associate Director, IDNs – will maintain and generate new business/contracts, promote products/programs for Hikma’s portfolio, enforce contract compliance, develop current and new account relationships, and achieve Hikma’s corporate goals. The Associate Director, IDNs is also responsible for working closely with internal partners, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Contracts, and Finance, to meet the needs of our customers and achieve business goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Required to meet a select number of targeted accounts in person on a quarterly basis, as well as attend assigned trade shows/conferences

  • Responsible for selling all products within the portfolio for their designated accounts
  • Identifies marketplace trends, communicates those trends to the sales team, and capitalizes on opportunities
  • Prepares and utilizes sales tools to maximize effective customer presentations
  • Utilizes product knowledge and sales skills to identify and meet customer needs
  • Collaborates with internal partners, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Contracts, and Finance to provide a market-leading service level to our customers
  • Effectively uses tools and systems to increase customer commitments and buying patterns to include recurring orders
  • Maintains and develops key accounts and strengthens relationships with KOL’s
  • Achieves quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Increases sales in assigned IDN accounts and develops new business opportunities
  • Supports new product launches and programs, including developing and improving product launch process.
  • Manages accounts effectively and maintains a regular call schedule to key accounts including business reviews
  • Applies effective organization, planning and time management skills
  • Manages expense budget responsibly and submits T&E expenses timely
  • Completes reports as requested by management containing information about sales calls and marketplace conditions
  • Expected to enter all customer activity via the CRM tool and provide regular reports to management
  • Collaborates effectively with VP, Senior Director of Sales, Territory Account Managers and Inside Sales Team
  • Communicates pricing opportunities timely and submits through CRM
  • Ensures alignment with applicable policies and standard operating procedures and adheres to Hikma’s core values
  • Adheres to corporate policies and procedures
  • Will require up to 50% travel

Metrics:

  • Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Maintain appropriate number of weekly sales calls
  • Complete reporting requirements in a timely manner
  • Provide competitive intelligence on a regular basis within the CRM
  • Contract sales performance and growth for assigned customer base
  • Internal Partners: Sales management, Inside/Outside Sales Team, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, and Contracts
  • External Customers: Hospital buyers/pharmacists, purchasing departments, distributors, wholesalers
  • Decisions that can be Approved: All decisions related to the day to day operations involving sales of Hikma products
  • Decisions Recommended: All decisions related to the day to day operations and strategic direction of sales of Hikma products

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Business or Science degree preferred)
  • Candidate should have 5+ years’ experience in the generic pharmaceutical industry, with a preference for those with prior injectable and National Hospital IDN sales experience.
  • Candidate must reside in the territory
  • Significant knowledge and experience working with GPOs, IDNs and key hospital decision makers
  • Must be a self-starter, willing to meet aggressive goals, and willing to be actively involved in a team environment
  • Strong account management and strategic selling capabilities
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders and demonstrated success working as part of a cross-functional team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with excellent computer skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

Compensation:

Base Salary: $122,000 to $162,000 annually.  The compensation for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, work location, prior experience and job-related knowledge, relevant skills and expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The Talent Acquisition team can provide more details about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
