Description:

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds.  We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Director, Portfolio to join our team.  In this role, you will be responsible for building Hikma’s U.S. Injectables portfolio through strategic analysis and vision, identifying the right opportunities and supporting the product selection process.  As a member of the Launch & Pipeline Management team, this position tracks the progress and overall state of the pipeline, communicates priorities and leads efforts to optimize the U.S. Injectables portfolio.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop growth initiatives for the US Injectable pipeline in alignment with Hikma’s global strategy.

  • Identify pipeline gaps and makes recommendations.

  • Support the product selection process, identifies opportunities, develops complete business cases through cross functional collaboration and makes compelling recommendations. 

  • Creates and maintains a pipeline dashboard.

  • Works closely with R&D and Project Management to set pipeline milestones and launch goal dates.

  • Supports pipeline prioritization and rationalization.

  • Collaborates with Business Development to identify potential new products and technologies.

  • Interfaces with healthcare systems, clinical and industry contacts (i.e., pharmacy boards, ASHP, Hikma’s sales force etc.) to identify new dosage forms and product differentiation opportunities.

  • Conduct primary research with Health Care Professionals, particularly in the hospital pharmacy space to validate differentiated product development opportunities (e.g., via 505(b)(2) pathway)

  • Utilizes tools and processes available for product forecasting and evaluation.

  • Supports management and leadership on special projects.

  • Make labeling decisions that incorporate commercial/clinical feedback, well in advance of launch to ensure no delays.

Qualifications:

Minimum:   Bachelor’s degree in Business (or related field) with a minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical experience is required – including:

 

  • Requires prior experience with injectable products.

  • Requires a broad understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, generic industry, commercial channels, intellectual property and Regulatory Affairs

  • Requires the ability to influence others and communicate effectively, both internally and externally.

  • Must maintain confidential information while acquiring industry trends and information from a wide array of sources.

  • Requires the ability to manage aspects of cross functional teams including strategic sourcing, finance, and others as appropriate.

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.

  • Familiarity with hospital injectable drug preparation and administration

  • Familiarity with the medication administration safety space, within hospitals in particular.  

  • Need to be local to Berkeley Heights, NJ or Bedford, OH location or willing to become local.
