We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds.  We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Principal, IT Business Relationships- Finance to join our team.  In this role, you will be responsible for the overall management of the end-to-end finance functions in the US. This includes responsibility for compliance, talent management, performance, stability and cost efficiency of all IT processes and services provided for the Finance organizations from the IT function. 

This position will work closely with the Business and act as the trusted IT Business Partner. They will understand the finance end to end Business Process and the supporting IT enabling solutions. They will foster relationships with both US and global senior Business and IT management to evaluate, propose and implement improvements to the business processes. The role is responsible for ensuring Hikma has effective and efficient IT solutions that enable the end-to-end finance Business processes.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality. 
  • Increase the efficiency and effectiveness of finance business processes by providing direction with the use of state-of-the-art IT technologies and methodologies. 
  • Understands and effectively communicates complex technical project requirements, coordinates resources to ensure projects are managed to specification and completion.
  • Work closely with Finance Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to understand, gather, and document business requirements.
  • Proactively scouts for innovation, challenges the status quo, and implements innovative ideas to create business value.
  • Drives a level of harmonization and integration of the processes and application landscape and helps to define the overall Enterprise Architecture.
  • Ensures appropriate systems and services are developed and delivered to organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal / external technical teams and business entities.
  • Estimates project budgets and resource requirements.  
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
  • Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects.
  • Creation of functional requirements/specifications documents.
  • Supports SAP ECC and Analytics functional areas, working closely with IT leadership to manage project intake and delivery, as well as application run support.
  • Recommends solutions and develops business case alternatives. Pro-actively facilitates complex design and technical discussions and drives decision making process.
  • Organizes workshops and proof-of-concepts to illustrate solution designs to business process owners and subject matter experts.
  • Works closely with system developers on design, testing, and troubleshooting to support system enhancements and implementation.
  • Collaborates with management, IT staff and business unit leaders to deliver operations analytics.
  • Manages external consultants.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience with SAP ECC, Vistex or Model N
  • Subject matter knowledge in finance functional areas.
  • Experienced in reporting architecture, as well as data analytics and visualization with a focus on integration with BI platforms.
  • Preferred to have Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products (e.g. GMP).
  • Execution Management Development experience preferred. 
  • Leader with extensive IT and business experience with Finance in a regulatory Environment
  • Must have a track record in implementing technologies and realizing business benefit in a global/regional environment (including different cultures)
  • A solid understanding of all aspects of the pharma and / or biopharma industry in terms of Legal, Compliance, GxP, Computer Validation and Regulatory Requirements
  • Must be a strategic thinker and motivator and understands what delivers true value to the business function. Leadership skills, strong customer focus, vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Must have a solid understanding of both business and IT

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highly preferred to have Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products (e.g. GMP).
  • Execution Management Development experience
