We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds.  We are seeking a talented and motivated Director, Marketing to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans for assigned pharmaceutical products to achieve business objectives. This role ensures effective product positioning, market penetration, lifecycle management, and cross-functional alignment between medical, sales, regulatory, and supply chain teams. The Director will lead a team that develops strategies that drive growth, market share, and brand performance. This role will include not only product or brand performance, but also channel strategies that support a broad basket of generic injectable products within the institutional markets including: hospitals, clinics, long term care, physician groups in office infusion centers, home care, and additional alternate sites of care.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Brand Management

  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans, brand strategies, and product roadmaps for innovative products in addition to a broad portfolio of medically essential generic injectables
  • Conduct market analysis including competitor profiling, customer segmentation, and trends.
  • Fully define all economic factors impacting brand / product positioning including full understanding of reimbursement practices within the hospital, clinics, and alternate sites of care including but limited to: Medical Benefit reimbursement schemes, DRG’s, ASP+ Reimbursement models, patience assistance programs, etc…
  • Define product positioning, value proposition, and key messaging based on scientific and market insights.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Manage product launch planning from pre-launch to post-launch activities for both innovative and generic product launches.
  • Lead lifecycle optimization, including line extensions, reformulations, and promotional updates.
  • Monitor product performance and propose adjustments based on market dynamics.

Marketing Execution

  • Develop and oversee promotional materials, campaigns, and digital marketing initiatives in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate educational programs, conferences, KOL (Key Opinion Leader) engagements, and symposiums.
  • Execute multichannel marketing (digital, field force, print, webinars, CRM).

Sales Enablement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the sales team to create training materials, product detail aids, and selling tools.
  • Work closely with Medical Affairs to ensure scientific accuracy of marketing content.
  • Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs for promotional approvals and compliance.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to ensure accurate forecasting and product availability.

Market Insights & Performance Management

  • Track KPIs, performance metrics, and ROI for marketing activities.
  • Conduct regular sales analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Gather customer and field feedback to refine strategies.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with local regulatory guidelines, industry codes (e.g., EFPIA, FDA, EMA), and company policies.
  • Maintain high ethical standards in external interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Marketing, or Business (mandatory in many countries).
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • 3–7+ years in pharmaceutical marketing, product management, or related roles.
  • Experience with Rx (prescription), OTC, or biotech products.
  • Demonstrated success in product launches and brand management.
  • Strong understanding of pharma regulations and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in market analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership abilities.
  • Digital marketing and CRM proficiency is a plus.

 

Compensation:

Base Salary: $121,350 to $220,850 annually.  The compensation for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, work location, prior experience and job-related knowledge, relevant skills and expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The Talent Acquisition team can provide more details about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
