We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds.  We are seeking a talented and motivated Director, National Accounts to join our team.

 

The Director, National Accounts will be responsible for all sales activities relating to national account customers (wholesale, retail and mail order.) This role will be responsible for achieving optimum sales consistent with budgeted profit and revenue targets and will be required to develops sales plans and budgets for achieving sales goals. This position also requires cross-functional collaboration to enhance sales performance, strengthen product pipeline, and ensure seamless execution of customer-facing activity.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sales results to meet the budget goals of the company.
  • Manage and build customer relationship for assigned national accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and achievement of revenue targets.  
  • Generate and maintain sales growth for existing products and accounts while ensuring effective execution of product launches and potential new customer relationships.
  • Develop and implement innovative sales initiatives that support overall business strategy, drive market penetration, and enhance market positioning.
  • Lead contractual negotiations for assigned accounts, ensure implementation of effective terms to promote growth and ongoing improvement of customer relationships.
  • Contribute to product pricing strategy to support corporate financial expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding product availability, competitive information, product launches, forecasts, and supply needs.
  • Develop and coordinate sales presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement market and sales plans, generate account strategies which align with revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities at assigned accounts.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in business, science or equivalent with 10 plus years of experience in pharmaceutical and sales management.
  • Five plus years of life science and sales management experience with an established track record of accomplishments.
  • Thorough working knowledge of GPO, wholesaler and retail pharmaceutical markets with proven track record of effective sales execution.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation and relationship building skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to provide analysis and market intelligence.
  • Strong financial analysis skills desired.
  • Experience in animal health or veterinary space preferred but not required.
