As part of the HR Operations team, the Payroll Analyst performs all day-to-day payroll activities, prepares all payroll processings, and will work with the external payroll provider as necessary. The Payroll Analyst satisfies all payroll system reporting needs for the entire organization and supports the HR function with daily operations. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Completes end-to-end pay cycle processing and related activities in compliance with all Federal, State, Local regulations.  This includes shift differentials, processing bonuses, and stock option vests. 

  • Serves as liaison with ADP for all payroll centric and time and attendance matters related to their service offerings; tracks issues, records resolutions and escalates as needed. 

  • Fulfills all payroll data reporting requests for internal departments, audits, external agencies, and vendors as required.   

  • Maintains interface files for Benefits Providers. 

  • Acts as system administrator to the payroll and time system; manages user access, updates configurations, manages incoming data from HR system of record, Success Factors and troubleshoots all technical matters escalated from the HR Service Center. 

  • Partners with accounting team to reconcile and resolve banking and tax variances and provide any requested reports. 

  • Maintains electronic payroll records in compliance with laws and internal procedures. 

  • Partners with other HR teams such as the global HCM, benefits, HR Service Center, and HRBP’s on any payroll and time related items. 

  • Delivers trainings to end users and prepares/maintains training documents 

  • Assists local HR teams with various transactional processes as needed. 

  • Audits and corrects employee timecards. 

  • Complete year-end processes related to payroll. 

  • Completes other projects and ad hoc requests as required. 

 

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 3-5 years’ experience processing payroll for a multiple state employer with hourly and salaried employees, preferably as structured within a Human Resources Department 

  • 1-2 years’ experience using UKG Payroll, Reporting and Time and Attendance 

  • Experience using ADP Payroll, Reporting and Time and Attendance 

  • Prior experience in the administration of SAAS payroll and HRIS systems including advanced report writing is preferred.

  • Implementation is preferred

  • Attention to detail. 

  • Strong analytical skills 

  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
