Hikma is one of the top generic prescription medication providers in the US offering both oral solid and injectable pharmaceuticals to a growing number of chain stores, wholesalers, distributors, health systems and government agencies. 

This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to the commercial Generics product portfolio.  In this hybrid commercial analyst role, the candidate will gain exposure in the areas of forecasting, pricing and portfolio management while providing reporting and interaction with the national account sales directors.  It is expected that this candidate is versatile, has continuous improvement mindset and learn the core fundamentals of the generics commercial process.  Working in a fast-paced environment and being flexible and adaptive will allow for multiple opportunities to engage in cross-functional initiatives. 

 

Essential Analyst Duties & Responsibilities

 

Pricing

  • Develop pricing proposals for Generics business products in response to customer inquiries.
  • Maintain customer pricing proposal databases and models.
  • Assist with the preparation price increase analyses as required and WAC reviews quarterly.

Portfolio Management

  • Assist in life cycle management and portfolio optimization processes.
  • Participate in the 5-year Business Plan process supporting product budgeting and capacity planning to ensure accuracy and capture any market changes that could impact project valuation.
  • Monitor competitive developments and establish new sources of competitive intelligence.
  • Any other projects assigned within scope of portfolio management
  • Performing forecasting / quantitative analyses (including pro-forma financial modelling, valuation, accretion/dilution, IRR/NPV, etc.) on new lifecycle management opportunities.
  • Act as a Product Champion for assigned products

Forecasting

  • Partner with the Forecasting Manager to further develop customer level forecast and monthly reporting.
  • Create and maintain monthly sales reporting – partnering with sales team on variance & supporting commentary analysis.
  • Create product and customer-specific P&L’s as required
  • Assist with the preparation of customer business reviews (forecasting / allocation / backorder analytics).
  • Analyze US customer revenue trends/patterns/buying behaviors. (monthly summary to national account sales directors)
  • Gather and maintain up to date information on sales and market share, and information with promotional potential
  • Participate on cross functional, multidisciplinary teams and contribute to reaching product objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Business, or Engineering required.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience; pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.
  • Quick learner with strong critical thinking and problem solving skills (both conceptually and technically).
  • Strong communication, excellent organization and coordination skills and impeccable attention to detail with the ability to effectively handle multiple complex issues simultaneously.
  • Curious and able to respectfully challenge the status quo.
  • Experience in Excel including pivot tables and integrating and consolidating large volumes of data from various sources.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a flexible team player while working in a dynamic, fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
