Description:  
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development & Pipeline Strategy Intern to join our team. As an Intern you will establish and maintain meaningful projects in a working environment that will enhance your marketability as well as provide value to the organization through continued networking. You will actively contribute to the discovery, development and delivery of our products to our patients and customers.

 

Support the Business Development & Pipeline Strategy team in driving pipeline planning and advancement initiatives. This role is cantered around the selection and execution of both organic and inorganic opportunities, underpinned by robust business case development and strategic rationale.

This internship provides hands-on exposure to pharmaceutical portfolio strategy, licensing evaluation, and the application of AI tools, including Claude models, to support informed decision-making.

Internship will commence in June and end no later than August.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Pipeline Support: Help organize and maintain the pipeline selection process, supporting prioritization of projects against business objectives.
  • Project Support: Assist the team through the pipeline advancement process, from early ideation to submission.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders to gather input on pipeline prioritization and R&D direction.
  • AI & Automation: Support the implementation of AI models (including Claude) and automation workflows to streamline pipeline analysis and reporting.
  • Research & Analysis: Conduct background research on candidate projects and help prepare materials for senior management review.
  • Business Development: Help evaluate new business development and licensing opportunities under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Forecasting Support: Assist with product forecasting by gathering competitive intelligence, pricing data, and scenario inputs.
  • Partnership Research: Help identify potential partnership, in-licensing, and product acquisition opportunities.
  • Due Diligence Support: Assist with due diligence by helping compile financial analyses and intellectual property summaries.
  • Reporting: Help maintain consistent and accurate internal reporting of the pipeline for the Business Development leadership team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Familiarity with AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) and interest in applying them to business workflows.
  • Problem Solving, Planning and Organizational Skills.
  • Previous internship, or academic coursework in taxation or corporate accounting preferred.
  • Work with urgency to ensure that inquiries are efficiently managed.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skill.
  • Ability to manage multiple project activities under general supervision.
  • Must be organized and detail/deadline oriented.
  • Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction, no sponsorship offered at this time.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
