Hikma Pharmaceuticals is currently seeking a talented Summer Intern to join the US Communications team in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey Site. As an Intern, you will earn practical experience as a fully integrated member of our team and participate in meaningful projects that will add value to our organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and think strategically about corporate messaging and narratives, draft materials, assist with social media content, and so much more. 

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to

 

  • Assist in the development and implementation of Hikma's US media relations, employee communications, social media and business marketing initiatives.
  • Create social media content, including written and digital posts using photos, video, and more to share Hikma's story across the company's social media channels.
  • Provide writing and research support to the US communications team including editing and drafting of recap stories for local site CSR events.
  • Create and post employee-focused content on digital screens and on the Hikma Connect intranet.
  • Collect US communication and public affairs highlights and content for weekly and quarterly reports that are shared with the Executive Committee, global employees and other audiences.
  • Create stories and support production of US employee newsletter.
  • Monitor Hikma’s social media and key competitors. 
  • Organize and manage department files including images, stories, press releases, etc. 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Must be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional Student in good academic standing.
  • Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other related coursework.
  • Overall, cumulative GPA must be at least 3.0 (on 4.0 scale) or better.
  • Major must be related to the field of internship.
  • Strong interest in corporate communications and public affairs
  • Willingness to learn how to use new tools, such as SharePoint, Umbraco and Khoros
  • Experience or interest in using social media tools for brands including LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and inquisitive with a strong desire to learn.
  • Organization skills to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to details.
  • Planning and Organizational skills.
  • Proficient usage of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction, no sponsorship offered at this time.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
