We are looking for a talented Clearance Officer to join us. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit import documentation (bill of lading, invoices, packing lists) ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with suppliers and shipping companies to collect required documents and track shipments.
- Manage customs clearance processes, including HS code classification and handling duties and taxes.
- Liaise with customs authorities to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Coordinate logistics with freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouses to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain strong relationships with international suppliers and monitor delivery performance and quality.
- Ensure compliance with import regulations, manage risks, and maintain accurate records for audits.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates whose experience and skills align closely with the qualifications outlined below:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree (Bac+3 / Bac+5) in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customs clearance / import operations, preferably in a regulated industry (pharmaceutical, healthcare, etc.).
- Experience in pharmaceutical environment is a strong advantage.
Technical skills:
- Experience with international trade finance (letters of credit, CAD, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in French and English in speaking and in writing
- International trade, Incoterms, rules of transport and international trade.
