We are seeking a talented and motivated Assistant Supervisor, Maintenance. In this role, you will be responsible for performing EMT/Mechanic duties while leading other EMT/mechanics in the completion of these duties. This individual works with their group to install, maintain, repair, overhaul, and operate production equipment and related support systems and equipment in a GMP regulated environment under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor of Reliability and Compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- In the absence of the Shift Supervisor the Asst Supervisors assume their role
- Assist in the Coordination of the daily activities of EMTs/Mechanics by assigning preventive maintenance and repair work orders. Follow-up to ensure that work assignments are being completed.
- Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance work on items such as: packaging and filling equipment, autoclaves, tunnels, washers, process support systems equipment, etc.
- Provide training to EMT/Mechanics to ensure compliance and consistent performance on tasks.
- Assist management in evaluating upgrades, improvements, and operational issues. Assist engineering with decisions and implementation of new equipment and modifications to existing equipment.
- Perform administrative duties such as writing and reviewing preventative maintenance procedures.
- Troubleshoot, repair, monitor, and adjust systems and control equipment to maintain proper output.
- Troubleshoot, repair, monitor, and adjust utility support systems (chilled water, condenser water, etc.) to maintain proper system pressure, temperature, flow-rate, etc.
- Provide technical troubleshooting assistance to production specialists and mechanics.
- Obtain proposals and procure parts and services associated with the equipment and support systems.
- Involves making routine decisions concerning priority of response, reviewing unusual problems and critical situations with supervisors, and carrying a radio or phone as directed for expeditious communications.
Qualifications:

- 5-10 years maintenance or engineering experience in the following technical areas:
- Mechanical: General understanding of mechanical devices. Basic understanding of mechanical PdM tools.
- Electrical: Understanding of 480v, 110v, 24v and DC electrical systems and their distribution and control. Basic understanding of electrical PdM tools.
- Electronic/Automation: Basic PLC and HMI understanding.
- Compliance: Experience playing a key role in the development and fact gathering effort.
- Energy: General understanding of energy systems and principles of consumption/reduction with ability to correlate actions to consumption. Familiar with energy conservation techniques.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to document process issues in a clear concise manner in accordance with cGMP, SOPs and Job Aids.
- Must be capable of working independently or with a team to identify and resolve complex equipment problems.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to perform basic math, complete basic calculations, and interpret trending.
Reasoning Ability:
- Crucial decisions to determine what is wrong with equipment and systems.
- Determining an action plan to effect equipment solutions.
- Investigation of equipment failures.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and understand drawings, electronic, electrical, pneumatic and control schematics.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair, pneumatic and electrical systems, and components.
- Must have a mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair 24, 110, 208, and 480-volt equipment.
