The Associate Director, Finance Data Management is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and automating extraction of financial data to assist in strategic decision-making and operational improvements. This role involves working with financial systems, data sets, and various stakeholders to provide actionable insights that help streamline the multiple datasets that finance manages.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to extract insights from complex datasets.

  • Develop predictive models to forecast future financial performance and mitigate risks.

  • Implement data visualization techniques to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

  • Conduct sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of various scenarios on financial outcomes.

  • Streamline data collection processes through automation and integration of systems.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in financial analysis and reporting.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting feedback and implementing iterative changes.

  • Act as a liaison between finance and technology teams to ensure seamless integration of financial systems.

  • Collaborate with external vendors and consultants to leverage specialized expertise when necessary.

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency within financial data collection operations.

  • Recommend and implement enhancements to financial reporting and analysis processes.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

  • Support internal and external audits as needed.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and IT.

  • Work closely with business partners to understand their financial data needs.

  • Perform Ad-Hoc analysis as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or business management

  • Excellent Excel / PowerPoint / financial modeling skills to help turn data into valuable information

  • Ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently, and work well in cross-functional teams

  • proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, etc.)

  • Strong track record of demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, attention to detail and project management skills

  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills; ability to work effectively across diverse departments.

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills

  • 7-10 years of progressive management experience in the field of Finance. With a Proven track record of accomplishments and projects management.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) may be advantageous
