Description:

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds. We are seeking a talented and motivated Procurement Agent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the purchasing of maintenance, repair, and operational supplies for Hikma sites by ensuring timely PO creation, accurate order tracking, and effective communication with internal requestors and vendors. This role is a key support position for the MRO function.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute MRO purchase orders based on approved requisitions.
  • Work closely with the Procurement team to prioritize urgent requests and communicate risks.
  • Maintain SAP accuracy for MRO POs, delivery dates, pricing, and order confirmations.
  • Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies and coordinate with AP for timely payment.
  • Support inventory and reorder point reviews for key indirect items.
  • Contribute to improvement efforts by identifying ordering inefficiencies and recommending process enhancements.
  • Analyze and manage appropriate reports such as blanket P.O. reports, supplier performance reports, MRP exception reports and open P.O. reports to ensure on-time material availability and proper inventory levels.
  • Track all material quality complaints, supplier notice of changes both internal and external, and forward correspondence to appropriate personnel.
  • Lead site vendor setup process
  • Analyze quotations to ensure that proposals meet with government regulations and accepted trade practices. Strong negotiation skills are required to communicate requirements to potential suppliers and to establish a win-win relationship for all involved.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Procurement 
  • 0-3 years purchasing operational experience
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledgeable in SAP and MS Office
  • Good presentation and written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledgeable in procurement practices and techniques
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexible and accommodating as priorities change rapidly
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with short timelines
  • Extremely strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of procurement practices and techniques preferred

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • C.P.M. and/or CPIM certification desirable
  • Experience in medical industry desired
