Title:  Sr. Manager, Supply Chain

JOB PURPOSE

The Sr. Manager, Supply Chain streamlines processes, reduce inefficiencies and eliminates bottlenecks in order to minimize costs and improve overall operational efficiency while working with departments to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives. Ensures appropriate inventory levels are maintained to prevent back order by mitigating potential disruptions in the supply chain to ensure continuity of operations.  

Leads the execution of by prioritizing and implementing quality and productivity process improvements to meet the site KPI’s. Optimize supplier relationships while maximizing value and ensuring uninterrupted product flow. Plans and implements the short and long-term strategies for supplier management programs. Responsible for the development of supplier relations required for supplier programs. Ensures continuity and compliance with current supplier program objectives. Responsible for utilizing existing enablers while driving for innovation and new tools to create best total value for goods, services required within all areas of spend, including but not limited to raw material (direct), indirect, capital and service categories.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Oversee the supply chain process from manufacturing to customer fulfilment.
  • Act as the primary client contact during all phases of the contract from client demand signals to delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with and delivery of all contractual commitments.
  • Coach direct reports and/or provide direction to team using general policies and management guidance related to the tasks and projects.
  • Conduct contract specific order Planning meetings. Gain understanding of client needs and communicate these within the company and keep all appraised of progress and issues.
  • Review supplier performance reports consistent with agreed requirements to insure consistency with quality, service, and delivery objectives.
  • Drive company resources to fulfil contractual requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing/supply agreement, supplier managed inventory (consignment) and total cost agreements within dollar responsibility range and for presentation/ signature at senior level.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize back order and enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals and customer demand.
  • Maintain supplier relationships to ensure timely and quality deliveries.
  • Identify potential risks and disruptions in the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate their impact.
  • Continuously analyse data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to drive operational excellence.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team, providing coaching and guidance to ensure individual and team growth.
  • Identify and implement sustainable and less resource-intensive supply chain solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum:    Bachelor’s Degree
  • Preferred: MBAC.P.M. and/or A.P.P. desirable

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum:     5-8 years of diversified procurement and operational experience in business, technical, and managerial functions.

SKILLS

  • Proficient with SAP
  • Good oral, written communications, and presentation skills.
  • Competent in project management role.
  • Ability to interface with multiple levels of management, including senior management at both procurement and business unit levels.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of business concepts and practices across all areas of business.
  • Extensive knowledge of purchasing and materials management; supply chain and logistics; finance and accounting; manufacturing and operations; engineering and legal are required.
  • Effectively lead and influence others toward the accomplishment of a goal.
  • Knowledge of Contract and Purchasing Law.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and conflict management skills.
