We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Program Executive to lead strategic capital projects, site expansion initiatives, and large-scale operational programs. This role is responsible for ensuring site readiness to support local, regional, and global business requirements, while driving the successful execution of complex engineering, supply chain, quality, and operational initiatives.

 

The Senior Program Executive partners with internal and external stakeholders to identify business needs, develop long-term site strategies, and deliver projects that align with organizational goals. This position provides leadership for cross-functional teams, manages multiple concurrent projects and resources, and applies project, engineering, contract, and risk management principles to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective execution.

 

The role also supports site master planning, supplier governance, operational readiness, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure sustainable business performance and alignment with enterprise strategy.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regular and reliable onsite attendance to support project execution and business objectives.
  • Lead the development and execution of complex capital programs and projects, including scope definition, cost estimation, scheduling, and engineering solutions for initiatives across Product Safety & Security, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Warehouse Operations, with investments up to $200 million.
  • Ensure project activities are executed in compliance with company policies and applicable safety, environmental, health, regulatory, and cGMP requirements.
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional project teams by aligning objectives, managing risks, resolving issues, removing barriers, coordinating resources, and ensuring successful project delivery within approved timelines and budgets.
  • Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships, including vendor selection, contract oversight, performance management, and service delivery governance to maximize value and ensure compliance with corporate and legal standards.
  • Manage project resources, including employees, consultants, contractors, and external partners, to optimize project outcomes and achieve the lowest total cost of ownership.
  • Oversee project implementation, operational readiness, and closeout activities, including documentation, financial reconciliation, training, maintenance handoff, and project archiving.
  • Serve as an active member of the Capital Investment Committee, providing strategic input on capital investments, site master planning, asset optimization, business priorities, market trends, regulatory considerations, and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Drive the development, implementation, and sustainability of business processes, SOPs, and work instructions to support operational excellence and ongoing performance improvements.
  • Represent assigned programs and projects to leadership, governance committees, customers, external partners, and industry stakeholders, providing clear communication on project status, risks, and outcomes.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline with 15+ years of experience in project, construction, or capital program management, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical processing, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale capital projects, including projects with budgets exceeding $50 million.
  • Strong knowledge of capital project delivery, construction management, engineering principles, and capital investment processes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards, including FDA, DEA, EMA, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and building codes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from planning through implementation, balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk objectives.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions in complex environments.
  • Strong leadership and influence skills, with a proven track record of building alignment, driving results, and leading cross-functional teams within a matrix organization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization, from project teams to executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with peers, contractors, vendors, customers, and business partners, while navigating challenging situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, adapt to changing priorities, and effectively manage ambiguity.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives to successful completion with minimal supervision.
