Summer Intern Job Description
The Human Resources Intern will directly assist the Human Resources Department with a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, recruiting, onboarding etc. The candidate will use the verbal and written communication tools they have learned through education and apply them to a professional setting. The candidate will gain a better understanding of Human Resources.
- Assist Human Resources functions in daily activities and special projects with hands-on application of educational experience in a fast-paced work environment.
- Work with the HR Management team to drive HR Service delivery across the organization.
- Participate in HR operations including internal comms, employee engagement activities, recruiting and onboarding.
- Help maintain and enhance HR systems and tools, ensuring accurate employee records and compliance.
- Contribute new ideas and participate as a team member of the department including attendance at meetings and events.
- Participate in initiatives to modernize HR efforts and support process improvement projects.

- Exposure to senior leadership and strategic business activities and decisions.
The Summer Intern will assist in various areas and will include the following:
- Build database for raw materials displaying market insight, approved suppliers, and information related to use of material.
- Develop/Maintain sourcing calendar for contracts related to the Cherry Hill site.
- Assist with inventory management strategy (ie Manufacturing Consumable report)
- Maintain incoming shipment report for raw materials.
- Review/maintain Master Vendor Database
- Other duties as required by Supervisor.

- To gather knowledge of the People Operations at a Manufacturing Pharmaceutical site.
Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience
- Enrollment in Academic Program: Must be currently enrolled in an Undergraduate (must have completed the first year) or Graduate program with a strong academic standing.
- Preferred Background: Ideal candidate is pursuing a bachelor’s degree or graduate degree with a human resources or business focus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic HR principles.
- Ability to perform administrative work with a high degree of proficiency and autonomy.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on details and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word.
- Must be a College Student pursuing a degree.
