To support this mission, we are expanding our global Supply Chain leadership team and are seeking a Director, 3rd Party Supply Chain Management to lead strategic partnerships, capacity planning, and operational performance across our third‑party manufacturing network.

This is a high‑impact, highly visible role based in our Switzerland office—ideal for a supply chain leader with deep pharmaceutical experience and a passion for operational excellence.

 

⭐ The Opportunity

As Director of 3rd Party Supply Chain Management, you will be instrumental in the strategic direction behind how Hikma partners with key global suppliers. You will play a critical role in the definition and execution of the supply chain strategy for products within the Swiss branch scope, improve the robustness of our external manufacturing network, and ensure the long‑term capacity, quality, and reliability of supply that our customers depend on.

You’ll collaborate closely with our VP Global Supply Chain – Injectables, as well as cross‑functional teams in commercial, quality, finance, operations, and regulatory affairs. You will also contribute to high‑level business reviews with our CMOs —driving alignment, performance, and continuous improvement.

 

🧭 What You’ll Lead

3rd Party Supplier Management

  • Own the supply chain for all products managed by the Swiss branch
  • Lead quarterly strategic business reviews with partners—driving KPI performance, risk mitigation, and operational alignment
  • Manage biweekly production and shipment meetings with contract manufacturers
  • Resolve capacity vs. forecast gaps, ensuring high service levels
  • Oversee master data and documentation for all 3rd‑party supplied products
  • Manage inventory strategy, target setting, and allocation of materials and API

Supplier Contracting, Procurement & Logistics

  • Provide input into supplier contracts and long‑term procurement strategy
  • Identify and qualify alternative suppliers to ensure business continuity and manage cost
  • Support purchase order preparation for routine CMO operations
  • Partner with logistics providers on outbound shipments, documentation, and customs resolution

Cross‑Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with commercial, regulatory, finance, quality, IT, operations, and logistics to support efficient, compliant 3rd‑party operations
  • Act as the central link between commercial needs, market realities, and operational delivery

 

🎓 What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, incl. 5+ years in senior leadership
  • Strong experience with global CMO/CDMO management across multiple dosage forms (solids, semi‑solids, injectables, inhalation, nasal, etc.)
  • Expertise in organizational design, vendor transitions, and commercial contract negotiation
  • Deep understanding of global markets, customer dynamics, and supply chain strategy in pharma
