We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds.  We are seeking a talented and motivated Logistics Team Lead to join our team.  In this role, you will be responsible for  Under the guidance of the W&D Management, the Logistics Team Leader is responsible for directing and delegating assignments to efficiently maintain operations in the equipment and building maintenance, receipt, storage, order processing and shipping of customer orders for a multi-company, multi-divisional corporate warehouse and distribution center.  Work in a team based environment working closely with others for the common goals of the department.  These activities include being compliant to all FDA, DEA, OSHA, Safety, and Company Policies and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts strategy meetings with operation team members to review daily workloads and assignments.  Updates changing workloads with team members throughout the day.
  • Directs the operation team members within the warehouse to ensure all W&D requirements are completed on a daily basis.
  • Accurately pick, pack, stage, and load customer orders movement and prepare all pertinent documentation. Accurately receive and put away all incoming products and supplies. Keep the warehouse safe, orderly and secure at all times, with items properly identified and segregated for storage, and equipment properly maintained
  • Reviews and writes departmental procedures.
  • Effectively handles Warehouse area administrative matters as designated by production Coach/Manager relating to resource utilization, scheduling, etc.
  • Perform facility cycle counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies with the Materials Management Inventory Control, Specialist II or appropriate Coach. Works with Learning and Development to support training of W&D personnel.
  • Ensures compliance with and perform all company business in accordance with Government (cGMP, FDA, DEA, OSHA, Safety) and Company Policies, Procedures, Goals and Objectives. Acts as back-up in a limited capacity to the Coach, Manager, and Specialist on matters of order processing, inventory control and SAP transactions.

Education :

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Ability to read information and apply what was described in the reading material to situations which may contain several details or describe processes involving several steps.
  • Capable of understanding and following written and verbal instructions and procedures and understand how they affect others in a team environment. Must demonstrate ability to read a procedure or instruction and verbally describe what the procedure describes.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to peers and management
  • Must have reliable transportation as position requires working at warehousing facilities located at multiple sites.
  • Ability to use computers to perform a variety of data-entry transactions, perform, RF transactions and to retrieve information (procedures; safety, employment, and other information). using a calculator
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic math functions using a calculator (add, subtract, multiply, divide, rounding, etc.)
  • Demonstrated high level of personal motivation and initiative and be able to work independently to complete daily tasks assigned.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible with daily work assignment changes as well as a continuously improving work environment
  • Ability and willingness to maintain accurate and factual hard-copy and electronic records
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work and participate effectively in a team environment
  • Operate warehouse industrial material handling equipment as required, Pallet Jacks, Pallet Transfer, High cube, ASRS, Shrink Bundler, Strapping Machines, Shrink Wrapper, Pallet Scales, Conveyor, forklifts, etc.
  • Ability and willingness to follow directions, as assigned by management, coaches, peers, or in written instructions
  • Attention to detail, safety, quality and customer requirements.
  • Ability to make independent decisions within the scope of operating policies and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal effectiveness and leadership skills in order to mentor others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a cGMP/pharmaceutical environment is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Warehouse and/or Distribution environment including order processing, inventory control and receipts.
  • Familiarity with MS Office products (specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel), and SAP or equivalent systems.
  • Pharmaceutical or other regulatory (cGMP) experience
