Title: Event Management Officer
Event management specialist is responsible for planning and ensuring the smooth running of an event schedule and individual events. These could span anything from a local exhibitions and conferences to international events. The event management specialist also supports the implementation of best practices and the adoption of high standards of excellence for all Hikma’s events.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Sales and Marketing team to find out their exact event requirements.
- Produce detailed proposals for events (including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
- Research venues, suppliers and vendors, then negotiate prices and hire
- Manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics (for example, venue, catering, travel)
- Produce post-event evaluation to inform future events
- Booking and purchasing air tickets; assisting in getting visas to relevant countries; coordinating hotel accommodation, transportation, meeting facilities, and other related services according to Hikma’s policies.
- Coordinating and monitoring relationships with vendors
- Maintaining purchase records and processing and approving invoices
- Abide with Hikma’s travel polices and SOPs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business admin, public relations, communications, or hospitality or any rated field
- 2+ years of experience in Event Management
- Data Management & Analysis
- Documenting & Recording Information
- Strong Communication and marketing skills.
- Project management skills.
- Highly Organized and Multi-tasker.
- Good time management.
- English Language proficiency is a must.
- Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point) proficiency.
