🔎 What You’ll Do

As our Legal Counsel in Portugal, you will play a key role in supporting Hikma Portugal, Hikma PLC, and our wider European business. Your responsibilities will include:

✨ Acting as the legal advisor for our Portugal manufacturing site, supporting teams across operations, quality, regulatory, pharmacovigilance, finance, HR, tax, commercial, and more.

✨ Partnering closely with the Compliance Department to supervise internal investigations, interviews, and prepare reports and memorandums.

✨ Drafting, reviewing, and advising on Group, European, and site‑level policies.

✨ Leading on commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation to protect Hikma’s interests.

✨ Advising leadership on legal and regulatory matters, including GDPR, ESG, sanctions, EU competition law, and local regulations.

✨ Managing a diverse portfolio of legal projects and ensuring timely follow‑up on all issues.

✨ Liaising with and managing input from external legal advisers when needed.

✨ Supporting special projects, including M&A, business development, and internal policy initiatives.

✨ Managing corporate documentation, resolutions, and filings.

You’ll collaborate closely with:

Internal: Global Legal, Business Development, Compliance, Commercial, Tax, HR, Information Security, IT, Finance, Treasury, Pharmacovigilance, and more.

External: Law firms, advisers, and various third‑party partners.

🎓 What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

✔ Qualified solicitor in Portugal

✔ Fluency in Portuguese and English

Experience:

✔ Minimum 4+ years of post‑qualification experience

Key Skills:

• Strong legal drafting and analysis
• Excellent written & verbal communication
• Experience with Portuguese and European laws and regulations
