At the end of the 1980s, we extended ours beyond the Middle East and acquired land in Portugal for the construction of a sterile factory for injectable pharmaceutical products. This was an important turning point for the company, and our first step into a new region. Today, in Portugal, we have more than 1000 employees and 3 factories for the production of injectable medicines.
Hikma intends to recruit an Specialist, Project Manager - (m/f)
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic operations projects sponsored by Global Injectables Operations, ensuring delivery within approved scope, timelines, budget assumptions and business objectives.
- Translate strategic priorities into project charters, milestone plans, decision logs, RAID trackers and clear success measures for senior leadership review.
- Establish project governance, monitor milestones, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans to ensure successful project execution.
- Drive initiatives related to operational efficiency, process optimization, technology transfer, product launches and network integration.
- Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards, reports and presentations to provide visibility of project performance, risks and business impact.
- Facilitate decision-making by providing data-driven analysis, business insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Develop concise executive-level updates, dashboards and recommendations that provide visibility to progress, risks, decisions required and expected business impact.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external consultants, suppliers, contract manufacturers and other business partners as required.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, collaboration and operational excellence throughout project teams.
Profile:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Industrial Management, Business Management, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or MBA; PMP or equivalent project management certification; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Minimum: 5+ years of experience in project management within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or general industry.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior leaders and executive stakeholders across sites and functions.
- Track record of delivering strategic initiatives across multiple functions, sites or geographical regions.
- Experience with technology transfer, capacity expansion, product launch readiness, operational excellence or network integration is preferred
- Strong project and program management capabilities, including planning, governance, risk management, escalation and benefits tracking.
- Ability to influence without direct authority and lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity and competing priorities.
- Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to convert complex operational issues into clear choices and recommendations.
- Analytical, structured problem-solving and decision-support capability.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; proficiency in project management tools, dashboards, Power BI or MS Project is preferred.
- Strong organizational discipline, follow-through, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
