Title: Specialist, IT Applications

Today, in Portugal, we have more than 1000 employees and 3 factories for the production of injectable medicines.
Hikma, intends to recruit a Specialist, IT Applications (m/f)
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to users of applications, including troubleshooting issues, resolving user inquiries, and providing guidance on application usage.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as developers, business analysts, and quality assurance analysts to ensure optimal application performance and alignment with organizational needs.
- Monitor and report on system performance metrics, including uptime, usage statistics, and user feedback, to identify areas for improvement and recommend system enhancements or upgrades.
- Lead new projects and rollouts to different Hikma sites, coordinating project activities with stakeholders, executing tasks, and reporting deviations.
- Process security requests based on departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Understand the IT and company framework, follow defined processes and procedures, and produce required documentation in support of baseline and project activities, including SLC documents (e.g., URS, FS, DS). Ensure compliance with GxP and other applicable regulatory and company guidelines.
- Act in accordance with valid quality and compliance regulations.
Profile:
- Minimum of 5 years relevant IT experience in computer applications support
- Hands-on experience supporting Quality management systems in the pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated troubleshooting ability for both the computer application and laboratory instrument interfaces.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong knowledge of computer validation processes and practices
- Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent documentation and writing skills as per Hikma’s Good Documentation Practices.
- Adaptable and able to learn quickly to keep up with the changing IT landscape.
- Experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Document Management Systems (DMS).
- Experience in Laboratory Information Management is a plus.
