We are seeking a talented and motivated Manager of Procurement who optimize supplier relationships while maximizing value and ensuring uninterrupted product flow. Plans and implements the short and long-term strategies for supplier management programs. Responsible for the development of supplier relations required for supplier programs. Ensures continuity and compliance with current supplier program objectives. Responsible for utilizing existing enablers while driving for innovation and new tools to create best total value for goods, services required within all areas of spend, including but not limited to raw material (direct), indirect, capital and service categories

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Provide day-to-day leadership for Procurement activities, ensuring effective support for MRO, CAPEX, and direct-material purchasing needs
  • Manage team, establish priorities, coach employees, and build Procurement capability and accountability.
  • Maintain and improve the PR-to-PO process, purchasing procedures, approval workflows, supplier onboarding, and Procurement SOPs.
  • Identify cost-reduction opportunities, challenge unnecessary spend, leverage supplier negotiations
  • Ensure Procurement strategy aligns with material availability, production requirements, inventory objectives, and business priorities, while allowing you to focus on broader Supply Chain strategy and execution
  • Develop and educate the suppliers to the performance measurements and principles of continuous improvement consistent with Quality Leadership principles.
  • Develop strong, ethical relationships with World Class suppliers and ensure that activities surrounding dealing with suppliers are conducted under the auspices of good business practices.
  • Develop and monitor appropriate KPIs around savings, supplier performance, purchase order compliance, spend management, and process effectiveness.
  • Ensure Procurement activities follow company policies, financial controls, GMP expectations where applicable, and internal/external audit requirements.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum:    Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, Finance, Analytics, Data Science, or a related field preferred. MBA Preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum:    6-8 years of diversified procurement and operational experience in business, technical, and managerial functions.

 

SKILLS

  • Proficient with SAP.
  • Good oral, written communications, and presentation skills.
  • Competent in project management role.
  • Ability to lead others.
  • Ability to interface with multiple levels of management, including senior management at both procurement and business unit levels
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of business concepts and practices across all areas of business.
  • Extensive knowledge of purchasing and materials management; supply chain and logistics; finance and accounting; manufacturing and operations; engineering and legal are required
  • Effectively lead and influence others toward the accomplishment of a goal.
  • Knowledge of Contract and Purchasing Law.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and conflict management skills.
  • Track performance of direc reports.
  • Strong understanding of Procurement, MRP, material planning, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
  • Ability to develop and maintain standardized reports and metrics across multiple functional areas.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or other highly regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet recurring reporting requirements, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must work well as a member of a team. Good oral and written communication skills.  Ability to communicate well—written and oral.

 

Compensation: 

Salary: $93,000 to $120,000 - The compensation for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, work location, prior experience and job-related knowledge, relevant skills and expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The Talent Acquisition team can provide more details about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
